8 Simple Ways to Live More Consciously
1. Recycle!
This seems like the easiest step but is one that is often overlooked due to the lack of availability of recycling bins. Save and recycle your old documents – remember, there’s no limit on the number of times paper can be recycled!
2. Switch your disposable plastic water bottle out for a reusable one

3. Wash wisely!

Be extra careful about what you’re washing down the drain! Homemade scrubs are a lot of fun, but be sure to strain the water when using a coffee scrub, and use oils that are liquid at room temperature so as to not clog your drain, like sweet almond oil. 4. BYOB (Bring your own bag)
Some countries are already starting to embrace this little part with extra charges on plastic bags – but for those yet to make this change, bringing your own trendy shopping tote can save you hundreds of bags and even hundreds of dollars a year!
5. Upcycle!
6. Reduce your consumption of waste
This is another easy one. If you know you’re only going to throw that plastic bag or cardboard packaging away, don’t get it! Retailers will gladly help you out in your choice to conserve the environment. We do our part with products packaged in glass and aluminum so you can do yours too!
7. Car Free Fridays

Leave the car at home and bus, bike or walk to your destination. Not only does this save fuel costs but it gives you the chance to explore your city in a whole new way!
8. Turn the water off while brushing your teeth!

This may be an obvious one to many, yet if you are still someone who doesn’t, the simple change in habit from just turning off the tap while you brush your teeth can save up to 8 gallons of water! Not only will this reduce the cost of the monthly water bill but it will also help conserve a vital natural resource.
